Welcome to Footy High dot com

Footy High is a place of passion for three guys – Sarge, Matty P and Beno – to congregate, discuss, argue and entertain about the greatest sport on earth – the AFL (Australian Football League).

Throughout the week we will pour our passion into opinionated posts based on events throughout the footy week, on and off the field. We hold our own footy tipping competition , Dream Team, $100 challenge.

We encourage discussion and engagement within the Footy High community. So don’t be shy, leave a comment, participate in the discussions, join the $100 challenge, talk about how great your dream team is and give us your best footy tips.

We also have links to as many footy related social media sites out there (player twitter/facebook profiles for example) and tell you what footy shows are showing on TV so you don’t miss a piece of the action!

Meet the boys

Sarge

Sarge is a passionate Geelong supporter born and bred in Brisbane. Outside of footy he’s an aspiring online entrepreneur/online marketer, freelance designer, social media/blogging enthusiast that enjoys a drink, learning about food and fitness and kickin’ back to a good tune. Let the good times roll!

2011 Footy Focus:

  • Attend the first week of the finals in Melbourne *FLIGHTS BOOKED!*
  • See a blockbuster Cats game *Flights booked for ROUND 12. Blockbuster game – CATS v HAWKS*
  • Get a Geelong membership
  • Post on Footy High once a week (at least)
  • Pick a clever dream team and have good reasons why for each player chosen
  • Reach $150 in the $100 Challenge
  • Complete Tipping Comp
  • Get a full dream team this year League is FULL!
  • Write a TON of prediction posts
  • If Cats make a Preliminary Final or even Grand Final I’M GOING!

Matty P

Matty P bleeds maroon, blue and gold and in the morning eats his cereal out of ’01, ’02 and ’03 premiership cups. He’s been a Lions member since his age was single digits and rarely misses a game at the Gabba. Originally from South Australia, but he’s got most of that out of his system. Outside of football, he wishes he was at the footy.

Beno

Originating from the red and white city of Sydney but now living in the baby lion cub city of Brisbane, Beno is a long time member and follower of the mighty Sydney Swans and can’t wait to see what 2011 holds for the champion swans. Beno will also take you on a journey of where football is at for 2011 and into the future and cover the weekly issues with his hard hitting point of view, so sit back relax and let Beno take you on his football journey.
